About

I started making pots for pure enjoyment when my children were small. They are nearly always thrown and made to be useful whether for the home or garden, such as tableware or plant holders but often I am asked for a dish to mark a date such as a birth or a wedding. More recently, the style has moved towards a simpler, plainer look in blue or white using stoneware.
Then, along came Canbags which was a natural progression with sailing taking up a large part of our family life. The sewing room is overflowing with all sorts of sails ready to be cut up and recycled into strong bags for use in our daily lives. There is also an everchanging range of fabrics for stitching onto the sailcloth to add colour and interest.
There are pots and bags here and visiting customers are welcome but most orders are taken by email or phone. I try to make sure that everything I make is individual and there is often colour and personalisation to discuss.
